I have been teaching at CSULA since 1971; I formally retired in June but can and will teach half-time for 5 more years. I have been doing research in mathematics with international coauthors for years and travel in conjunction with that, e.g., last Spring we were in the Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Austria, Italy, Bulgaria and Germany. For 17 years I was Faculty Athletics Representative to the NCAA at CSULA, stepping down upon my retirement.
I had a Fulbright in the Philippines earlier in my career.
My wife Suzanne is a southern belle (in fact, that is her middle name). She was a majorette at the University of Tennessee and at FSU. She became an actress and almost made it in Hollywood. She specializes in winning prizes in game shows, most recently, on Let's Make a Deal on Valentine's Day 2013.
